1. Who we are

NQ Backtest is operated by Elior Dabool (trading as NQ Backtest), who is the data controller for the personal data described here and decides how and why it is processed. Contact: hello@nqbacktest.online.

2. Data we collect and why

  • Account data — email address, authentication identifiers, plan status. Purpose: creating your account and giving you access. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
  • Product data — simulated trades, journal entries, drawings, chart preferences. Purpose: providing the Service and your history. Legal basis: contract.
  • Support and feedback messages — what you send us. Purpose: answering you and improving the product. Legal basis: contract / legitimate interests.
  • Usage and telemetry — pages viewed, feature usage, session counts, device and browser type, IP address, error reports. Purpose: security, fraud and abuse prevention, debugging, and product improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • AI prompts — the text and trade summaries you send to AI Coach / AI Analyze. Purpose: generating the response you asked for. Legal basis: contract.

We do not sell your personal data. Payment card details never reach our servers — they are collected by our payment provider.

3. Who we share it with

  • Service providers / subprocessors — hosting and database, email delivery, analytics and error reporting, and AI model providers (Google Gemini via the Lovable AI Gateway) that process prompts on our behalf.
  • Paddle.com — our reseller and Merchant of Record, for the sale of memberships, subscription management, payments, invoicing, fraud checks and sales-tax compliance.
  • Professional advisers — legal and accounting, where necessary.
  • Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose.

4. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the EEA and the United States. Where required we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision to protect those transfers.

5. Retention

Account and product data is kept while your account is active and for up to 12 months after deletion (backups and abuse prevention), after which it is deleted or anonymised. Technical logs are kept up to 12 months. Records tied to a purchase are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.

6. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, row-level access controls, and least-privilege access to production data. No system is 100% secure.

7. Your rights

Subject to local law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability of your data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent. Email hello@nqbacktest.online and we will respond within one month. You can delete your account at any time, which removes your trades and journal entries. If you are in the UK/EEA you may also complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, plus limited analytics and advertising cookies. See our Cookies Policy for how to manage your preferences.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 18.

We will post updates on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
