What traders say

  • Built specifically for NQ price action without the clutter.

“Most platforms make backtesting overly complex. NQ Replay cuts straight to the chase with fast 1-minute NQ/MNQ historical data and clean ICT setups. I use it every weekend to drill my execution—massive time-saver.”

    Marcus V.
  • Incredible for practice, best on desktop.

“The tick by tick stepping completely removes hindsight bias and helps build real screen time. I’m giving 4 stars only because mobile navigation feels a bit tight, but on desktop, it’s an absolute goldmine for ICT models.”

    Elena R.
  • Essential if you're trying to pass prop firm evaluations.

“The live-paced simulation keeps you honest about risk management. The automatic trade journaling tracks your R-multiples instantly so you know if you actually have an edge before risking real money.”

    David K.

Replay uses historical candle data, including one-second bars where available; it is not a tick-by-tick market-data feed.

Built for ES practice

01 // REPLAY

Bar-by-bar ES sessions

A normal session runs 6:00 p.m. ET the evening before to 5:00 p.m. ET, matching the CME Globex day; holidays and early closes are shorter or absent. Step forward one bar or play at speed.

02 // 1-SECOND LIVE

Watch the minute form

Every ES session in the archive has 1-second data, so the current candle builds from recorded one-second bars instead of appearing whole. It is bar data, not tick-by-tick or order-book data.

03 // EXECUTION

Dollar-accurate practice

Market, limit and stop orders with stop-loss and take-profit. P&L uses $50 per point; Pro has no daily order limit.

A hypothetical ES rehearsal

Prices are made up to show the math — this is not a real trade or result.

PlanBuy one ES at 6,000.00 if price reclaims the overnight low after the 9:30 a.m. ET open
Stop5,996.00 — 4 points = 16 ticks = $200 risk
Target6,008.00 — 8 points = $400, a 2 : 1 reward-to-risk
RehearseReplay several sessions, take only trades that meet the plan, log each one
Scale noteOn one MES the same 4-point stop is $20 of gross exposure — size math only; MES has its own liquidity and fills and isn't in the replay

Formula: points × $50 × contracts, before commissions and slippage.

The replay shows whichever outright contract traded the most volume that session. In this archive that switch landed on CME's customary roll Monday each quarter (Dec 15, Mar 16, Jun 15, Sep 14) — the roll is a market convention, not a rule, and positions can be rolled at any time.

How to open ES in the replay

  1. Start Pro or Pro+ (or the $1 trial if eligible) from the pricing page.
  2. Open the replay and choose ES in the instrument menu.
  3. Choose a session date between October 29, 2025 and October 26, 2026, then a timeframe.
  4. Write your entry, stop and target before pressing play, then step forward.

FAQ

Common questions about ES Replay

What is ES Replay?

ES Replay is NQ Replay's market replay for CME E-mini S&P 500 futures. You load a recorded ES session, step through it without seeing the future and place simulated trades.

Is ES Replay free?

No. ES is part of Pro and Pro+. Pro is $12.99/month or $99/year and Pro+ is $19.99/month or $149/year. Eligible new accounts can try Pro for $1 for 3 days, then $12.99/month unless cancelled. The free plan covers NQ and MNQ only (last 6 months, 20 orders a day).

How much ES history is there?

257 sessions from October 29, 2025 through October 26, 2026. Older ES history is not in the archive yet.

Can I replay MES?

No. Micro E-mini S&P 500 (MES) isn't offered. MES is one tenth of ES ($5 vs $50 per point), so dividing ES P&L by ten gives the gross notional equivalent — but that isn't an MES backtest: MES has its own order book, liquidity, spreads and fills.

Which ES contract does a session use?

The outright contract with the most volume that session — ESZ5, then ESH6 from Dec 15, 2025, ESM6 from Mar 16, 2026, ESU6 from Jun 15, 2026 and ESZ6 from Sep 14, 2026.

Is replay the same as live trading?

No. Replay uses recorded bars, so it can't reproduce real slippage, queue position or the pressure of real money. Use it to rehearse rules.
