NQ Replay's simulator includes GC and MGC on Pro and Pro+, using 2026 1-minute data. P&L uses CME values: $10 per $0.10 tick on GC and $1 on MGC (per CME Group specs for Gold and Micro Gold). GC has available sessions from January 2 to August 24, 2026, and MGC from February 24 to August 24, 2026.

What the gold simulator does

Bar-by-bar replay

Step or play through a session so the next candle is hidden until you decide.

Simulated orders

Buy, sell, stops and targets are simulated against historical bars. No broker connection.

Real tick math

MGC and GC positions are valued with their actual CME tick values.

Automatic journal

Simulated trades are logged so you can review your rules afterwards.

Limitations to know

Short history

Gold covers part of 2026 only, so results from a few months are a small sample.

Bars, not order flow

Entries are approximations; spreads and slippage are not modelled.

Education, not advice

The simulator teaches process. It makes no claim about future performance.

Frequently asked questions

What is a micro gold futures simulator?

It replays historical COMEX Micro Gold (MGC) and Gold (GC) sessions and lets you place simulated trades. No real money is involved and no orders reach a broker; it is a practice and education tool.

Which gold data is included?

GC has available 1-minute sessions from January 2 to August 24, 2026, and MGC from February 24 to August 24, 2026. Weekends, holidays and closures have no session. The archive is short compared with NQ, so treat it as practice material, not a complete sample.

Should I practise on MGC or GC?

Per CME Group, MGC is 10 troy ounces (a $0.10 tick is $1) and GC is 100 ounces ($10 per tick). MGC lets you rehearse sizing at one tenth of the dollar risk while the chart is the same market.

Is the gold simulator free?

No. GC and MGC are included with Pro and Pro+. The free plan covers NQ and MNQ. Pro is $12.99/month or $99/year, and eligible new accounts can try Pro for $1 for 3 days.

Will simulator results match live trading?

No. 1-minute OHLCV bars cannot show intrabar fills, spreads, slippage or the pressure of real money. Nothing here is trading advice or a prediction of results.
