Gold futures replay for GC and MGC
Step through 2026 COMEX Gold sessions one 1-minute bar at a time and place simulated trades priced with real contract values. Gold replay is a Pro feature; the free plan stays NQ and MNQ only.
NQ Replay includes Gold (GC) and Micro Gold (MGC) on Pro and Pro+, with 1-minute data from January 2 to August 24, 2026. GC is 100 troy ounces with a $0.10 tick worth $10, and MGC is 10 ounces with a $1 tick (CME Group contract specs).
How to set up a gold replay session
1. Upgrade to Pro
Gold contracts are locked on the free plan. Start Pro (or the $1 3-day trial if eligible) from the pricing page.
2. Switch the instrument
In replay, open the instrument selector and pick GC for full size or MGC to rehearse at one tenth of the risk.
3. Choose a 2026 date
Pick any available day between January 2 and August 24, 2026, then pick 1m, 5m or 15m.
4. Write your plan first
Mark the level you expect to be taken and your invalidation price before pressing play.
5. Step bar by bar
Play or step forward; enter only when your rules confirm. P&L uses $10 per GC tick and $1 per MGC tick.
6. Review in ticks and dollars
Log results in the journal. Compare risk in dollars — a 20-tick GC stop is $200 per contract.

One year, not ten
Gold history is 2026 only for now. Do not treat a handful of months as a complete sample of gold behaviour.
Bars, not order flow
1-minute OHLCV cannot show intrabar fills, spreads or slippage, so entries are approximations.
Practice, not prediction
Replay helps you rehearse rules. It does not tell you how a setup will perform live.

Is gold futures replay free?
No. GC and MGC replay are part of Pro and Pro+. The free plan covers NQ and MNQ only. Pro is $12.99/month or $99/year, and an eligible new account can try Pro for $1 for 3 days.
How much gold history is available?
Gold data currently covers 2026 trading days from January 2, 2026 to August 24, 2026 on 1-minute bars. It is not a multi-year archive like NQ, and we will update this page when the range grows.
What are the GC and MGC contract specs?
Per CME Group, the COMEX Gold (GC) contract is 100 troy ounces with a minimum tick of $0.10 per ounce, which is $10 per tick. Micro Gold (MGC) is 10 troy ounces, so the same $0.10 tick is $1. The simulator prices P&L with these values.
How is practising gold different from NQ?
Gold is quoted in dollars per ounce and moves in $0.10 ticks, while NQ moves in 0.25-point ticks worth $5. Gold often reacts to US data releases and global news, so session behaviour and volatility differ from the Nasdaq. Size your stops in ticks and dollars, not by copying NQ point distances.
Is replay the same as live trading?
No. Replay uses historical 1-minute OHLCV bars, so it cannot show intrabar order flow, queue position, slippage or the emotion of real money. Use it to rehearse rules and execution, then expect live results to differ.
